Message from the Leader

Trust is the currency of any association, and financial transparency is how we earn and keep it. Every shilling this association holds belongs to its members, and my responsibility as Treasurer is to ensure it is managed with absolute accountability — proper budgets, clean records, and timely audits. When members can see exactly where funds come from and where they go, we build the kind of trust that makes this community endure.

About

The Treasurer is the custodian of the funds of the Association. The Treasurer is responsible for the collection of all funds, making payments in accordance with the approved budget, and compiling financial statements. The Treasurer prepares the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Committee for approval by the Uongozi Centre Management Team, and submits financial records for audit at the end of each fiscal year. All payments require the approval and signature of at least two of the three: Treasurer, President, Deputy President, and a member outside the leadership group appointed by the membership.
